How It All Started...

I thought I was doing everything right.

For years, I followed all the wellness “rules”—yoga, walking, strength training, clean eating.
I was a yoga teacher, living what should’ve been a healthy life.
But underneath it all, I was in pain.

My back hurt. Plantar fasciitis plagued my feet. My energy was gone.
I felt older than I should have.

And no matter how many stretches, adjustments, workshops, trainings, or self-care rituals I tried, nothing helped for long.

Then came the moment I’ll never forget.

I was at a month-long yoga training in Costa Rica, learning how to guide others into “alignment,” when a sharp thought pierced my mind:
Take responsibility for yourself.

That insight changed everything.
I decided I would get serious about learning to heal my pain.

It led me to discover NeuroMovement®—a completely different way of understanding how the brain and the self communicate.
For the first time, I realized my pain wasn’t a failure of willpower or strength.
It was my brain’s way of protecting me from years of tension, over-efforting, and unconscious habits.

When I began to move through an experiential learning approach with NeuroMovement®—one designed to develop healthy mechanics of movement by tuning into sensation and awareness—my brain started learning again, and this time, finally, I followed.

The pain began to dissolve.
But even more than that, I began to feel myself again—more capable, confident, and creative than ever.

That realization reshaped my life—and my work.

Over the past 15 years, I’ve guided hundreds of people—many living with lifelong conditions—through that same process of self-transformation.
From professional athletes to parents and those recovering from injury or chronic stress, I’ve seen what becomes remarkably possible when we give the brain the conditions to learn.
